After downloading the software in VMware, we gave it a try. It was just advertising few sites and asking us to enter our credentials. After getting bored with the annoying user interface we thought of decompiling it. The decompilation resulted into a hysterical moment. The program was teaching us how to view private profile. The method of viewing private profile as stated in the software is:
- First google the name and check for the user’s friend. Download any of the friend’s photo and remember the name.
- Now create a new user in FaceBook with the same photo and name
- Send him/her a friend request with the newly created account
- With his/her friend’s profile picture he/she is likely to add you.
That’s all the software (also advertisiment). Thus I’ll like to declare FaceBookAgent as a scam and an adware.
