[How To] Create gantt chart in Ubuntu

by freak on December 12, 2009

Dear reader, I fr3ak, am back with yet another freakingtips among you. This time I’m going to share with you how I solved my project management requirement in Ubuntu. As you all know that I am using Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala this will be for Karmic Koala but it is guaranteed to work on other Ubuntu distros as well…

I also googled for free gantt chart maker. Either all those software were adware or some asked for my credintals.

Recently, I had to write a proposal for my college minor project. I was said that, I need to present a gantt chart in the proposal. Now after days of playing with the Openoffice macros I got to a conclusion that it was impossible. Suddenly, synaptic struck my mind. I just open the Synaptic Package manager and search for a project management tool. Luckily, it was there. I installed the program planner from the repo and got my work done.

You can also install planner into your system as:
sudo apt-get install planner

With the promise to return back with some other freaking tips.

Regards
fr3ak
